SAGA

What is SAGA?

Saga is a MMORTS game. MMORTS means Massive Multi-player Online Real Time Strategy game. Saga is also persistent, which means that when you are offline activity in your account continues like peasants building and collecting resources. But what makes it unique is that Saga is also collectible. Saga uses booster packs which have troops and spells in them to build up your army. You can buy these packs either online or from shops, i.e. you buy real cards of troops – which makes it collectible :)

History

Before the Saga began, the Elder Gods reigned in the heavens. One of them, a fiend called Goth-Azul, rebelled against the established order in an attempt to cause chaos and disruption. After defeating him in a titanic conflict, the Elder Gods created a prison orb, called Gaia, and shut away Goth-Azul deep within its core, there to remain throughout the eternities. Before being imprisoned, however, in one last attempt to cause strife, Goth-Azul gave the secret of the power of the Elders to a Lesser God, one Xethos Nom.
Xethos knew this found power could help him ascend and that the time for him to rule had come. He also knew the Elders would not go quietly, and so he enlisted the help of four other Lesser Gods, sharing the secrets he had been given that they might aid him in a cataclysmic coup. Using their forbidden knowledge, the five overthrew the Elders, claiming the heavens for themselves.
The Lesser Gods were victorious, but the celestial bloodbath had just begun. As full power was realized, greater ambitions took hold on the hearts of these new gods. They fought bitterly over who was to rule supreme, giving no quarter and asking for none in return. As the war intensified it became apparent that an agreement must be reached, else all creation would be obliterated.
A great council was held in the heavens and a temporary truce was called. After much discussion and heated debate, the New Gods had reached a consensus. The rules of war were made. Each god would create a race. Each race would battle away from the heavens, on the surface of Gaia, until only one remained. Whomever’s race was victorious would be the God who would reign in the heavens uncontested, and the losers of this
great conflict would fade into nothingness, to be forever forgotten by the world. Much was at stake. Power, glory and creation itself were within the grasp of each God, and their fate would be put into the hands of mortals.

The Saga Had Begun

Here comes your role! It’s time to choose your race to create your nation and join the fighting for the Gods.
Here is a summary of the races and their Gods.

Ari-Alia: Goddess of Light and Justice, sister to Xethos Nom.
She created the wise and long-living Giants, whose sworn goal is to bring civilization and order to the world. They hate the bloodthirsty Orcs, whom they deem chaotic and primitive, and the Dark Elves of Xethos Nom, whose twisted and evil magic bring death and sorrow to all.

Tek: God of Machines and technical innovation.
He fashioned the Dwarves that they might raise up great machines and technologies to him. The Dwarves are gifted in industry, taking no thought of cost to the land and thus bringing them often into conflict with Gaia and the Elves. They despise and distrust magic, thus they mock and revile the Dark Elves and their patron, Xethos Nom.

Gaia: Goddess of Nature, taking on her the name of the world itself.
She created the Elves, drawing their essence from nature and the very earth her people would stride, live and die upon. Her enemies are ever Rathos, God of War, and Tek, God of Machines, both of whom decimate the land in their endless search for resources to fuel their dominions. Gaia agreed to an uneasy truce with Tek in the Second Age under The Order.

Xethos Nom: God of Magic.
The Lesser God who led the other Gods to rebel, known to some as “The Vile Tempter”, is a god of darkness and fear. He created the Dark Elves, a cruel and fearless race trained in the black arts of magic, to do his bidding. They despise the Dwarves as ignorant tinkers, and hate the Giants of Light for their naïve crusade for so-called “justice and liberty”.

Rathos: God of War and lover of conflict.
He made the tribal and warlike Orcs, who have been known to battle even one another for glory on the field. The Orcs love to make war with anyone and anything but have a special preference for doing so with the Elves, whose peaceful nature and righteous indignation would make any decent Orc vomit. The Giants, followers of Ari-Alia, Goddess of light, civilization, and peaceful order, also are on the list of favorites to war with. The Orcs are firm believers in “The Bigger they are, the better it is to kill ‘em”.

The Undead race is still to be revealed… should be pretty soon. When their God and their info is released it will be upated. ;)
